Your Experience

Your day will begin with a peaceful walk through a traditional countryside village where you’ll discover the daily life of the Balinese people, explained to you by your guide.

If you’re lucky enough to visit the village school on a class day you’ll get to observe children in the middle of their lessons, always excited to welcome visitors into their classroom. You’ll have the chance to understand how the school operates and how Balinese teaching differs from what you’re used to at home.

Lunch time will be a true local culinary discovery with an Indonesian cooking class hosted by a local family. After preparing your dishes, you’ll sit down to enjoy your own creations, a delightful treat for the taste buds! Local lunch at the host’s home.

Then choose between 2 creative activities

  • Coconut-leaf hat making. Let your creativity flow in a workshop where you’ll craft your own hat from coconut leaves. Guided by locals, you can create your own piece, no crafting skills required! You’ll leave with a unique handmade souvenir to cherish.
  • Balinese offering-making workshop. Join the Balinese in crafting the daily offerings you see everywhere in Bali. Learn about the meaning behind each element and immerse yourself in this beautiful cultural tradition.

Your day will end with with an easy bike ride led by an English-speaking cycling expert, the perfect way to combine fresh air, beautiful scenery and authentic encounters. You’ll follow peaceful country trails that wind through charming villages giving you a real glimpse of everyday Balinese life. Along the way, you’ll pass endless rice terraces framed by mountains and rivers, views that are even more impressive in person. If the opportunity arises you can even step into the fields and give a hand to local farmers for a memorable, hands-on experience. Midway through take a refreshing break to enjoy a fresh coconut with a welcoming Balinese family a simple but unforgettable moment of connection. Then hop back on your bike for the final stretch leading to your reward: a delicious local dinner overlooking the rice fields, where you can relax and soak in the last light of the day.

Your Day Step By Step

  • Hotel pick up and transfer to the starting point
  • Village walk. Discover daily Balinese life and local traditions.
  • School visit (on class days). Meet the children and experience a Balinese classroom.
  • Indonesian cooking class at a Balinese home. Learn traditional recipes and enjoy the meal you prepare.

Activity choice

  • Make a coconut-leaf hat or Balinese offering-making workshop.
  • Easy Bike Ride. Cycle through rice fields, villages, and scenic countryside.
  • Share a moment with rice farmers in the paddies if we see them working.
  • Stop whenever you want for take pictures, drink a coconut during a break.
  • Dinner with a view. End with a local dinner overlooking the rice fields.

Notes

For all other areas such as Sanur, Kuta, Seminyak, and Jimbaran an additional fee of Rp 100,000 per car (not per person) applies. Pick up time is 7.30 am.

NOTE : We’re sorry but this tour is not available from Nusa Dua, Bingin or Uluwatu as these areas are too far from the starting point of the tour which needs to begin early in the morning. Thank you for your understanding.

Children and infants are welcomed for this tour there is no minimum age required.

Small Groups

Small groups only for a quality tour. Maximum of participants: 8 people per group. Larger groups are welcomed, it will be a private tour. Please send us a message.

Payment Accepted

We only accept payment in cash and Indonesian rupiah. Payment by credit card, Visa, MasterCard are not accepted so make sure to remember this the day of the tour. Payment is made when you arrive for the tour.

We don’t charge any cancellation fees however we would appreciate it if you could let us know at least the day before the tour should you wish to reschedule or cancel so we can plan accordingly. Thank you for your understanding.
